This Privacy Policy describes how PDF Tools ("the App", "we", "us") developed by NexLab collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Files you process in the App. PDF Tools works with the PDF and image files you choose to open, create, or edit. These files are processed on your device. We do not upload your file contents to our servers.

Information collected automatically. We use third-party services that may collect information automatically, as described below.

2. Device Permissions

We only request permissions necessary for the features you use. You can deny or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings, though some features may not function without them.

3. How We Use Information

To operate and maintain core App functionality
To display advertisements that support free use of the App
To process optional in-app purchases for premium features
To diagnose crashes and improve App stability
To understand which features are used most, to guide improvements

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Information collected by AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Google Play Billing is shared with Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. These services may use data to personalize ads, measure ad performance, and improve their own products.

5. Children's Privacy

PDF Tools is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

6. Data Retention

Files you process remain on your device and are managed by you; we do not retain copies. Analytics and crash data are retained by Firebase/Google per their standard retention policies.

7. Your Choices

You can opt out of personalized advertising via your device's Ad Settings (Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization).
You can disable specific permissions (Camera, Storage) at any time in your device's app settings.
You can delete the App at any time to remove locally stored data.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the App. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
