Last updated: 14 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how NexLab ("we", "us") handles information in the mobile application Easy Chat: easy message ("the App"). We built the App to respect your privacy: it works without an account, and most of what it does happens entirely on your device. This policy describes what is collected, why, and who it is shared with.

Summary

Data We (and Our Providers) Collect

We do not run our own servers that store your personal information. However, third-party services embedded in the App collect certain data as described below. This aligns with the App's Google Play Data safety disclosure.

Data typePurposeCollected / Shared
Device or other IDs (e.g. advertising ID) To display and measure advertisements Collected & shared by Google AdMob
Purchase history To process and restore subscriptions (Easy Chat Pro) Collected & shared by Google Play Billing
App activity & diagnostics Ad delivery, crash and performance reporting Collected by Google AdMob / Google Play services

"Shared" means the data is transmitted to Google acting as an independent service provider for the purposes above. We do not sell your data.

Advertising

The App shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may access your device's advertising ID and related information. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device settings under Settings → Google → Ads. Subscribing to Easy Chat Pro removes ads within the App. AdMob's handling of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions & Purchases

Optional subscriptions (Easy Chat Pro, monthly or yearly) are processed by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment card details — those are handled entirely by Google. The App only receives confirmation of whether an entitlement is active, in order to unlock features and remove ads.

On-Device Features (No Data Leaves Your Device)

Status Saver

To let you save WhatsApp statuses, the App asks you to grant access to WhatsApp's status folder through Android's system folder picker (the Storage Access Framework). The App reads only that folder, only to display and save statuses you choose. Nothing from this folder is uploaded or shared; saved files go to your device's own gallery.

App Lock

You may protect the App with a PIN or biometric (fingerprint / face) lock. Biometric verification is performed by your device's operating system; we never receive your biometric data. Your PIN is stored only on your device in hashed form.

Message Log (Notification Access)

If you enable the Message Log feature, the App uses Android's notification access to help you view messages you may have missed. This information is processed and stored on your device only It is never transmitted to us or to any external server, and you can turn notification access off at any time in your device settings. You can clear this stored data from within the App.

Preferences & History

Settings, recent numbers, favourites, saved message templates, and scheduled messages are stored locally on your device so the App remembers your choices. This stays on your device and is removed if you clear the App's data or uninstall it.
